Senior Lean Six Sigma / Business Process Management Consultant (top)
Position Overview

TeamCatapult is looking for an energetic and experienced senior consultant with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong background in process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methods and tools.  The Sr. Lean Six Sigma Management Consultant will be responsible for leading a process team that is working with a large federal acquisition program management organization to develop new business processes, analyze existing business processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness, recommend processes and areas for improvement and implement recommended improvement solutions. This is an awesome opportunity for an out of the box thinker, that can apply a broad brush of best practices and create innovative improvement approaches.   

Candidates must have a proven track record in driving the adoption, execution and leading long term business process roadmaps in support of client business strategies. Demonstrated team work experience and understanding of how to motivate and lead projects to their completion.

Candidates should be action oriented, stressing implementation with sustainable gains; have strong facilitation/training and coaching/mentoring skills; and be well-versed in process and variation-based thinking. Candidates should possess strong analytical, oral, and written skills; and have the ability to lead and work with teams and understand team dynamics (Team Player and Leader).



Responsibilities

  • Lead business process improvement/re-engineering engagements
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Process Development, Standardization, Improvement, and Redesign methods to lead/support business improvement efforts within large and small, public and private organizations
  • Facilitate interviews and discovery processes to determine current business issues and requirements
  • Define future business processes
  • Translate business processes into business process flows and documentation
  • Develop and implement the change management strategies for implementation of new business processes to remove barriers to the change
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication plans associated with changes
  • Manage the client relationship and ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage a team of subcontractors providing expertise in other areas to support the engagement
  • Play a key role in promoting and providing thought leadership within an organization pertaining to business process standardization, optimization and alignment to customer needs
  • Interact across organizational silos and boundaries in order to educate and promote the roadmap to key stakeholders and senior/executive management

 

Required Skills

Senior Process Improvement Consultant  (top)
Position Overview

TeamCatapult is looking for an energetic and experienced consultant with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong background in software process improvement. The Senior Process Improvement Consultant will be collaborating with TeamCatapult clients to have an impact on the processes their software organizations use, and to help those processes have an impact on their business. This individual will be responsible for applying established process improvement models and approaches in a non-dogmatic, sensible way that fits with the client’s culture and needs. A strong and proven record of accomplishment and expertise in requirements engineering, risk management, software peer reviews, configuration management, project management, metrics, and process assessment are necessary. This individual must have experience with software development, software management, and leading process improvement, quality improvement, and software measurement activities in both small and large organizations.

Candidates should be action oriented, stressing implementation with sustainable gains; have strong facilitation/training and coaching/mentoring skills; and be well versed in process and variation-based thinking. Candidates should possess strong analytical, oral, and written skills; and have the ability to lead and work with teams and understand team dynamics (Team Player and Leader). Additionally, candidates should be highly enthusiastic, energetic, self-starters, proven leaders; have a history of growing a grassroots process improvement culture; and have facilitation and training experience. Candidates should also be very skilled at using tools such as Visio, ProVision, PowerPoint, Word and Excel; and have some familiarity with Requirements Management tools (i.e. Rational RequisitePro) and Configuration Management tools (i.e. SourceSafe).

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on the practical implementation and institutionalization of organizational wide process improvement.
  • Implement CMMI level-2 and level-3 processes throughout the lifecycle for federal and commercial clients with no supervision.
  • Work directly with senior managers and team members to conduct gap analysis and set achievable goals and priorities for process improvement.
  • Provide training sessions and informal “seminars” to the clients on various CMMI Process Areas.
  • Manage a team of process improvement specialists in implementing CMMI across the organization.
  • Author policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present monthly status briefings to senior management.
  • Manage the client relationship and ensure client satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Software Project Management experience (preferably PMP)
  • Facilitation and training experience
  • CMMI level-2 and level-3 implementation experience in both large and small organizations
  • Consulting experience with federal and commercial clients
  • Full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience
  • Ability to effectively achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent executive level presentation skills
  • Previous SEPG involvement or leadership
  • Knowledge of the SCAMPI methodology.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience on a SCAMPI appraisal team or formal SCAMPI training
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies (i.e. Extreme Programming)

Senior Organizational Development Consultant (top)
Position Overview

TeamCatapult is looking for a Senior Organizational Development Consultant that can facilitate both strategic and organizational change within organizations of varying sizes and complexities. The Senior Organizational Development Consultant will be providing organizational development and performance improvement consulting for both departmental and high-level, complex enterprise-wide projects and initiatives through strategic vision and goal development, needs assessment and diagnosis, role and responsibility clarification, leadership and team development, coaching, and design and implementation of process and performance interventions.

Candidates should possess strong analytical, oral, and written skills; and have the ability to lead and work with teams and understand team dynamics (Team Player and Leader). Responsibilities
